Made in Poland: The Next Powerhouse of Premium Cosmetics

Made in Poland: The Next Powerhouse of Premium Cosmetics

In the cosmetics industry, there has long been an unspoken prestige ranking: France is synonymous with luxury, Korea with innovation, and Italy with design. But where does Poland fit into this picture?

Until recently, many associated Poland mainly with low production costs. However, the reality is quite different. Polish cosmetics are increasingly outperforming their international counterparts in terms of: 𝗙𝗼𝗿𝗺𝘂𝗹𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 (clean INCI, effective active ingredients) 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗱𝘂𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝘁𝗲𝗰𝗵𝗻𝗼𝗹𝗼𝗴𝘆 (automation, quality control, R&D) 𝗜𝗺𝗽𝗹𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗳𝗹𝗲𝘅𝗶𝗯𝗶𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘆 (short runs, fast time-to-market)

According to our latest analysis (👉 https://lnkd.in/etvmPRJG), the value of the premium segment in Poland reached approximately 𝗣𝗟𝗡 𝟮 𝗯𝗶𝗹𝗹𝗶𝗼𝗻 in 2023, growing 𝟱.𝟴% 𝘆𝗲𝗮𝗿-𝗼𝗻-𝘆𝗲𝗮𝗿. The projected 𝗖𝗔𝗚𝗥 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟰-𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟵 is an impressive 𝟵.𝟯%.

Polish consumers are willing to pay more, but they demand 𝗾𝘂𝗮𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘆 and 𝗮𝘂𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗰𝗶𝘁𝘆. This creates real opportunities for local brands with solid production capabilities.

Globally, there’s growing pressure on 𝗲𝗳𝗳𝗶𝗰𝗶𝗲𝗻𝗰𝘆, 𝘀𝘂𝗽𝗽𝗹𝘆 𝗰𝗵𝗮𝗶𝗻 𝘀𝗵𝗼𝗿𝘁𝗲𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴, 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗱𝘂𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗹𝗼𝗰𝗮𝗹𝗶𝘇𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻, and 𝗘𝗦𝗚 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗽𝗹𝗶𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲. Even the largest cosmetics groups are diversifying suppliers and searching for new manufacturing hubs, especially within the EU.

Not just with competitive pricing, but with 𝗶𝗻𝗻𝗼𝘃𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻, 𝗾𝘂𝗮𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘆, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘀𝗰𝗮𝗹𝗮𝗯𝗶𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘆. French and Korean cosmetics have great PR, but it’s time we start speaking just as loudly about the quality of “𝗠𝗮𝗱𝗲 𝗶𝗻 𝗣𝗼𝗹𝗮𝗻𝗱.” About factories that don’t just match global giants, but often 𝗼𝘂𝘁𝗽𝗮𝗰𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗺 𝘁𝗲𝗰𝗵𝗻𝗼𝗹𝗼𝗴𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗹𝗹𝘆. If you’re a brand looking to enter the 𝗽𝗿𝗲𝗺𝗶𝘂𝗺 𝘀𝗲𝗴𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁, scale globally, or simply find a 𝗘𝘂𝗿𝗼𝗽𝗲𝗮𝗻 𝘁𝗲𝗰𝗵 𝗽𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗻𝗲𝗿 – you don’t need to look to Paris or Seoul.
